TLDR: My submission(s) for The 2020 April TEXTURING CHALLENGE by The Pixel Lab
I recently purchased Redshift (redshift3d.com).
A third party render engine for 3D software (such as cinema4D - maxon.net).

It is a steep learning curve and a deep topic.  With the help of the people over at Greyscale Gorilla (greyscalegorilla.com) & their training, I took the plunge into the world of nodes & Redshift.
The challenge below was used as a learning opportunity to push my 3d skills and render integrations with Adobe Photoshop.
The challenge by The Pixel Lab (thepixellab.net) was to texture this badass bike modeled by Maciej  Ptaszunski.  Naturally I wanted to cheat, so I decided to purchase their new mutating metal collection and start tinkering with their nodes!

I used a combination of my own my nodes, some everyday materials from Greyscale Gorilla collection (free with a GSG+ sub!) and a handful of steels, chromes, silvers, and Iron from the Redshift Mutating Materials bundle by The Pixel Lab.
(FYI its on sale for spring...so blame covid and buy it! ;P)

SO, I didn't win...but I am not giving up on my quest to become a better 3D artist!
On to the next challenge: VDB Clouds in May 2020!
